Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No travel required
Patient care provided in the clinic only (no home visits)

Uniform:
Grey or Navy scrubs

Interview Preference:
In-person interviews at the clinic are preferred


Position Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for organizing the clinical environment and providing high-quality support in patient care situations. This role includes assisting physicians and nursing staff with clinical duties and performing various procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed medical provider. The MA plays a key role in identifying patient needs, communicating relevant clinical information to providers and the care team, and delivering excellent customer service. The MA must comply with all policies and procedures, including infection control, patient privacy, and confidentiality requirements, and complete all mandatory training.


Job Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment
  • Assist physicians and nursing staff during exams and procedures
  • Perform designated medical assistant duties under provider supervision
  • Identify patient needs or concerns and communicate findings to the clinical team
  • Deliver courteous, respectful, and professional customer service to patients
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Adhere to infection control, privacy, and confidentiality standards
  • Complete required training and maintain required certifications

Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment
    • Medical Assistants hired prior to certification are expected to perform at the same level as a certified MA
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network at time of hire or within 30 days of hire
  • Basic computer literacy, with intermediate Excel skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
