Product Manager – Supply Chain Finance (Accounting & Regulatory Focus)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead accounting and regulatory-driven capabilities for its Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Lending Platform. This role serves as a critical bridge between Accounting, Finance, Product, Risk, Operations, and Technology, ensuring accounting and regulatory requirements are accurately translated into scalable, compliant system designs.

You will own a defined area of the platform, translating product vision and strategy into a prioritized backlog while operating in a highly regulated environment with complex workflows, data models, and financial controls. This role requires strong accounting expertise, enterprise platform experience, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Product Manager and subject matter expert for accounting-driven capabilities within the Supply Chain Finance platform.
• Consult with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to influence product strategy and resolve highly complex business and technical challenges.
• Translate accounting principles (e.g., accruals, reconciliation, revenue recognition, interest vs. discounting, financial controls) into clear product requirements and system designs.
• Own and manage a prioritized backlog of epics, features, and user stories aligned to product outcomes, regulatory requirements, and control expectations.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to validate accounting logic, calculations, data flows, and system-of-record design.
• Ensure platform solutions support accurate financial reporting, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, stand-ups, and acceptance of delivered work.
• Coordinate dependencies across squads and product areas and help resolve prioritization and delivery conflicts.
• Strategically engage with Accounting, Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Product Management or related experience demonstrated through work, consulting, education, training, or military service.
• Strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, including general ledger systems and regulatory reporting.
• Experience working in regulated financial environments with complex controls, governance, and audit requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and accounting requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Product ownership experience supporting Accounting or Finance platforms, including systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, or other GL systems.
• Experience with Supply Chain Finance, Lending, or Commercial Banking platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory and risk reporting requirements in financial services.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise platform implementations involving complex workflows and data models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Agile product delivery experience, including authoring user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs.
