Job Summary: The Principal Configuration Analyst provides deep functional and configuration leadership for SAP Sales and Distribution (SD/OTC) and SAP Document Reporting and Compliance (DRC) within an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environment. This role supports global sales, distribution, and statutory compliance operations. The position is responsible for designing, stabilizing, optimizing, and governing end‑to‑end order processing, billing, and statutory document reporting using SAP S/4HANA as the system of record. The role ensures compliant electronic invoicing, government reporting, and audit readiness across applicable countries. The analyst partners with Commercial Operations, Finance, Tax, Compliance, Integration, and IT Architecture to ensure OTC and DRC solutions align with regulatory requirements and enterprise architecture standards.

Essential Duties:

SAP S/4HANA Order‑to‑Cash (OTC / SD)

• Own and enhance SAP S/4HANA OTC configuration for order management, pricing, billing, and financial integration.
• Support standardized global OTC processes across sales, distribution, intercompany, and fulfillment scenarios.
• Partner with business teams to resolve order and billing issues while maintaining stable operations.
• Validate OTC processes against business, financial, and regulatory requirements and recommend improvements using SAP standard capabilities.

SAP Document Reporting and Compliance (DRC)

• Design, configure, and support SAP DRC for local government reporting, clearance, and statutory finalization.
• Support electronic invoicing, legal numbering, document clearance, government submissions, and statutory reporting.
• Translate evolving statutory mandates into sustainable SAP DRC configuration and solution designs.
• Support internal tax teams during audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance‑driven incidents.

OTC and DRC Cross‑Domain Dependencies

• Govern dependencies between OTC billing and DRC statutory document generation and reporting.
• Ensure data consistency across pricing, tax determination, billing, and statutory reporting.
• Coordinate with Finance, Tax, Integration teams, and external compliance partners to maintain compliant order‑to‑report execution.

Solution Design, Validation, and Delivery

• Lead functional analysis and solution design within S/4HANA Private Cloud constraints.
• Promote SAP standard capabilities and minimize customizations.
• Develop and execute test strategies and scripts supporting GxP and GAMP 5 validation.
• Produce functional specifications, configuration documentation, validation artifacts, and architectural decisions.
• Serve as functional lead for OTC and DRC enhancements and global template initiatives.

Leadership and Collaboration

• Facilitate global design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to global SAP OTC and DRC configuration standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and critical incident response.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• 10+ years of SAP logistics experience with deep hands‑on SAP SD and S/4HANA expertise.
• Experience supporting order processing, contracts, scheduling agreements, and e‑Invoicing using SAP DRC.
• Experience delivering solutions within SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud (RISE).
• Experience leading SAP transformation, optimization, or global template initiatives.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery models.
• Proficiency writing functional requirements, specifications, and test cases.
• Background in regulated manufacturing or distribution environments such as medical device or life sciences.

Skills:

• Experience with multi‑leg, multi‑modal, and cross‑border transportation.
• Experience with carrier collaboration and freight tendering automation.
• Experience with high‑volume 3PL integration landscapes.
• Familiarity with integrated processes involving external 3PL warehouses.
• Understanding of international trade, export controls, and compliance‑related transportation processes.
