Overview:
The Senior Solution Architect – API Gateways & Cloud Platforms designs and delivers secure, scalable API‑driven and cloud‑based solutions that enable digital and business transformation. This role partners closely with a Technical Business Analyst to translate business requirements into well‑architected technical solutions and works collaboratively with digital, engineering, and platform teams.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into end‑to‑end solution architectures.
- Design secure, scalable API‑based and cloud‑native solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Architect and govern API gateway capabilities, including lifecycle management, routing, throttling, and monitoring.
- Define integration patterns and guide development teams through implementation.
- Embed security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and threat protection.
- Support agile delivery through design reviews, Jira stories, and technical documentation.
- Communicate architectural decisions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in solution architecture with a focus on APIs and cloud platforms.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and integration solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with Cloud=AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Kubernetes/Dev Ops
- Strong understanding of API and cloud security principles.
- Experience working in agile environments (e.g., Jira).
- Jira Strories
- Diagramming
- Security-Oauth/JWT
Preferred:
- Experience with API management platforms (Apigee, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway, Kong).
- Background in shared services or platform architecture.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
