Data Scientist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Scientist with strong Geospatial Data & Platform Engineering experience to build and scale modern data pipelines supporting capacity economics, including pricing, ordering, and production analytics. This role focuses on Snowflake-based data platforms, geospatial processing, and production-grade data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale Snowflake-based data pipelines to support pricing, ordering, and production linkage use cases
• Develop and automate data ingestion workflows using Fivetran (Postgres) and Python
• Create canonical data models and integrate data across fragmented systems such as SFDC, internal platforms, and offline sources
• Perform advanced geospatial/GIS processing, including spatial joins, intersects, overlays, buffering, clipping, reprojection, and area calculations
• Work with geospatial data using Snowflake SQL and/or Python libraries such as GeoPandas and Shapely
• Optimize and productionize spatial workflows to reduce heavy compute, ensure reusability, and deliver standardized outputs
• Support large-scale data standardization, automation, and pipeline scalability in cloud data platforms

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, and data pipeline automation
• Proven experience handling geospatial data processing in SQL and/or Python
• Solid understanding of data modeling and integrating multiple enterprise data sources
• Experience operating production-grade data workflows in a cloud-based environment

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Starburst
• Knowledge of spatial data sourcing strategies
• Experience modernizing or replacing legacy GIS pipelines
