Job Title: Software Engineering Manager
Location: Irving, TX
About the Role
As a Software Engineering Manager supporting the CXP Business Operations team, you will lead business users and partner closely with multiple development teams to define, design, and deliver high‑quality software solutions. You will act as a technical bridge between business and engineering, translating complex requirements into clear functional and technical specifications while driving alignment across stakeholders.
This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and hands‑on experience with enterprise systems and data‑driven applications.
What You’ll Do
- Lead business users and cross‑functional development teams in gathering, refining, and documenting product catalog requirements and design specifications
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical documentation, including data mapping and conversion details
- Act as a technical business analyst by aligning business needs with system architecture and application design
- Communicate functional requirements, screen flows, and interface designs to architects, engineers, product managers, testers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure end‑to‑end understanding of initiatives and proactively identify impacts across dependent systems and teams
- Support production issue analysis and resolution, ensuring minimal business disruption
- Analyze user workflows to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency
- Present findings, designs, and recommendations clearly to leadership and executive audiences
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience in software development, systems analysis, or technical business analysis
- Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills, including experience presenting to executive stakeholders
- Strong analysis and design experience covering both front‑end and back‑end system integration
- Working knowledge of DB2 and relational database design
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions based on established policies, standards, and project requirements
- Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry (preferred, not required)
- Proven leadership experience working across business, engineering, and operations teams
