Position Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering technology‑focused initiatives by managing resources, timelines, budgets, and stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects. This role oversees the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through implementation and post‑delivery validation, ensuring outcomes align with organizational strategy, security standards, and business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong technical project leadership, clarity in execution, and a calm, solutions‑oriented approach in high‑risk environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, deliver, and support strategic IT programs and initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead end‑to‑end project lifecycle management for multiple initiatives, including scope definition, scheduling, risk management, and execution.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to coordinate resources, timelines, and deliverables across departments.
- Conduct system and technology audits to verify outcomes, performance, and alignment with business and security standards.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, information security, and control structures to protect enterprise assets.
- Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating outcomes, identifying risks, and anticipating future needs.
- Manage financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, tracking spend, analyzing variances, and driving corrective actions.
- Establish, enforce, and continuously improve quality and delivery standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and project delivery methodologies.
- Contribute to overall team success through collaboration, leadership, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience leading IT or technology‑focused projects
- Experience managing projects in enterprise environments, including development and customer‑facing initiatives
- Strong working knowledge of Agile project management and delivery frameworks
- Proficiency using Jira and project tracking tools
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification (preferred, not required)
- Experience in Finance, Healthcare, or regulated IT environments
- Demonstrated success managing diverse projects and cross‑functional teams
- Strong ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in high‑pressure situations
