Job Title Senior Cost Estimator / Cost Engineer

Work Location: Fort Worth, TX Hybrid

Duration: 6+ Months

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Progressive and successful cost estimating experience across all project phases
• Proficient use of:
• MS Office
• Sage Timberline
• MII estimating software
• BlueBeam (HeavyBid a plus)
• Minimum travel required; personal vehicle required
• 5–10 years of estimating and construction experience related to building and civil construction
• Experience with alternative delivery procurement
• Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk, and schedule
• Certifications such as CEP, CCP, PMP, or CCM

Responsibilities

• Develop capital cost estimates for projects
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types
• Review and validate change orders
• Interface with external clients during capital cost presentations
• Maintain organized and detailed:
• Files
• Project records
• Logs
• Attend project meetings as required

Comments / Special Instructions

• Work with a knowledgeable and supportive team to prepare estimates by:
• Reviewing and comprehending scope documents
• Developing project work breakdown structures (WBS)
• Performing complete scope take‑offs
• Assisting contracts staff with statements of work (SOWs) for subcontractors and vendors
• Applying construction means and methods
• Calculating indirect field and owner’s costs
• Meeting necessary deadlines
• General Contracting construction background is a plus
