Job Description

We are seeking experienced inpatient DRG professionals to support auditing and coding initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of disease processes, clinical indicators, and DRG assignment. Candidates must be comfortable working within time‑limited audits and responding to detailed technical questions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient DRG auditing and/or coding reviews
• Analyze disease processes and clinical indicators that impact DRG assignment (e.g., heart failure)
• Apply current coding guidelines using payer‑ and hospital‑specific reference materials
• Review audit outcomes and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat findings
• Communicate clearly and concisely in a structured audit environment
• Maintain productivity and accuracy in time‑sensitive workflows

Required Qualifications

• Experience with inpatient DRGs
• Previous auditing experience in an inpatient setting
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation and DRG impact
• Ability to reference and apply coding guidelines accurately
• Professional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Active RN license (for RN rate eligibility)
• Experience responding to audit findings and remediation efforts
• Comfort with detailed technical questions related to inpatient coding
