Position: BSA/AML Operations Manager
Location: Plano, TX (Remote/Hybrid)
Duration: 4+ months contract
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design, enhancement, and execution of BSA/AML program elements, including controls, client risk rating methodologies, third-party oversight, and KYC programs.
- Manage day-to-day BSA/AML compliance operations and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Conduct BSA/AML/OFAC risk assessments for new and existing products/services, evaluating risks and recommending control enhancements.
- Oversee third-party service providers to ensure compliance with BSA/AML and OFAC standards.
- Act as the enterprise-wide SME for BSA/AML/OFAC programs and projects.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the compliance team.
- Develop and deliver training on fraud and AML suspicious activity typologies.
- Escalate identified risks to senior leadership, including the Chief Compliance Officer and Board of Directors.
- Stay current on regulatory expectations and evolving requirements.
- Collaborate with fraud departments across TFSB and affiliates to ensure consistent compliance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
- Relevant experience in BSA/AML compliance, financial crimes investigations, and fraud detection.
- Proven leadership experience with strategic program development.
- Strong track record of successful interaction with state and federal banking regulators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Professional certifications such as:
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
- Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS)
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
- Experience with regulatory compliance processes under the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC.
