Key Responsibilities
What the Candidate Will Do on a Daily Basis:
- Participate in business requirements meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
- Analyze functional and technical requirements to support business intelligence initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, primarily Power BI.
- Provide regular daily and weekly status updates on progress, risks, and issues using an agile tracking tool such as Jira.
- Collaborate closely with quality assurance teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data or reporting defects.
- Validate report accuracy, performance, and usability prior to deployment.
- Support the transition away from legacy BI reports by identifying, replacing, and formally decommissioning existing SAP BusinessObjects reports.
- Ensure BI solutions adhere to data governance, security, and best‑practice reporting standards.
- Document report logic, data sources, and design decisions to support long‑term sustainability.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Business Intelligence / Data Analytics Development:
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing BI or analytics solutions.
- SAP BusinessObjects:
- Strong hands‑on experience with SAP BusinessObjects components such as Web Intelligence (WebI), Universe Design, or related tools.
- Microsoft Power BI:
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- SQL & Databases:
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Data Warehousing & BI Concepts:
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and BI best practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience
The following qualifications will set candidates apart:
- Proven experience migrating or converting reports from SAP BusinessObjects to Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong understanding of Teradata data platforms and performance considerations.
- Ability to optimize data models and queries for large‑scale reporting environments.

Project / Initiative Summary
This role supports a business intelligence modernization initiative focused on transitioning from legacy SAP BusinessObjects reporting to Microsoft‑based BI solutions.
