Large poultry manufacturing company based out of the Philadelphia area is seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Corporate Account Manager to help their retail expansion. You will manage and grow an established portfolio of accounts within the retail sector, driving volume and revenue growth within the competitive protein landscape. This is a remote position with some travel expected.


Key Responsibilities

  • Account Optimization & Growth: Take full ownership of an existing portfolio of national and regional corporate retail accounts. Identify untapped opportunities within these accounts to expand product lines and increase shelf space.

  • Revenue & Margin Expansion: Execute data-driven sales strategies to exceed annual volume and profit targets through organic growth and upselling.

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations regarding pricing, volume commitments, and long-term supply agreements.

  • Category Partnership: Act as a category expert for your retailers, providing insights on market trends, consumer behavior, and protein pricing dynamics to secure "preferred vendor" status.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product availability and custom specifications meet partner needs.

  • Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts to production teams to balance inventory and minimize waste.


Candidate Requirements

  • Industry Expertise: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in protein sales (Meat, Poultry, or Seafood). Deep knowledge of protein specifications, grading, and market volatility is non-negotiable.

  • Retail Track Record: Proven experience calling on Corporate-level retail buyers. You must understand the "retail language," including promotional calendars, slotting fees, and private label development.

  • Account Management: Demonstrated success in managing and growing multi-million dollar existing accounts through strategic relationship building and category management.

  • Location: Must be based on the East Coast. Preference is given to candidates located near major transit hubs for ease of travel to Eastern-based retail headquarters.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with experience using CRM software and retail data tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen).
