System Architect

Background Qualifications:
NFRs for GenAI Architecture and Enablement(using assisted workflows; Story Weaver, Hygiene Assessments): this skillset includes hands-on with things like Response Latency, Hallucination Rates, Context Window Utilization, Model Drift Monitoring, Model Interrogation…
• Strong GenAI technical fluency (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, model selection, prompt engineering, agent patterns).
• Experience embedding AI in SDLC, including automation of NFR validation, architecture model interrogation, and agent-assisted workflows (Story Weaver, hygiene assessments).
• Knowledge of AI augmented observability and integrating AI into inner/outer SDLC feedback loops.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture guardrails and governance (AI-enabled specs, decision templates, compliance flows).
Architecture as Code (AaC)
• Require standardized on Structurizr and the C4 model, so contractors must have:
• Hands on Structurizr experience; including workspace definition, DSL, and diagram automation.
• “Architecture as Code” expertise—automating architecture artifacts and integrating into DevOps/CMDB pipelines.
• Ability to interrogate architecture models with LLMs, build scripts, and support conversational UI interactions.
• Understanding modernized architecture patterns (DMZ/CDE 2.0, Archetype 2.0, NGDC placement patterns). Governance, Compliance & Metadata
• Strong understanding of NFRs, ARB/SRP requirements, enterprise standards
• CMDB integration, metadata synchronization, automated governance enforcement
• Ability to design systems that embed compliance and controls into pipelines.
• Hands on Structurizr experience, including workspace definition, DSL, and diagram automation. Structurizr is a "diagrams-as-code" tool created to specifically to support the C4 model for visualizing software architecture. It uses a Domain Specific Language (DSL) to define models (people, systems, containers) and relationships, generating interactive, consistent diagrams from code rather than manual drawing.
DCMS Enablement: DCMS work heavily involves architecture governance, artifact creation, pattern alignment, onboarding, and accelerating PAA app migration.
• Strong ability to produce high-quality architectural artifacts, aligned to CTO specifications and refresh cadence.
• Experience navigating SRP and enforcing governance & deployment patterns, including rightsizing and alignment.
• Hands on experience with PAA onboarding, Azure/GCP app patterns, and SDLC tooling architecture.
• Familiarity with automation architecture and local dev environment patterns within DCMS.
