Senior Engineering Leader / Head of Engineering
We are seeking a senior engineering leader to own the technical strategy, architecture, and execution across our ecommerce platform, AWS cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across Ruby on Rails ecommerce platform, AWS infrastructure, NetSuite ERP, and third‑party integrations
- Define and execute a scalable, secure long‑term technology roadmap in partnership with executive leadership
- Lead platform modernization, AWS optimization, and systems integration initiatives
- Own engineering OKRs, capacity planning, and budget management
- Establish and enforce engineering standards for code quality, security, testing, and releases
- Drive maturity and cost/performance optimization of AWS infrastructure
- Lead adoption and governance of AI‑assisted development tools, ensuring quality and security
- Mentor, develop, and retain a high‑performing engineering team and foster a culture of excellence
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS in production environments
- Proven ability to deliver complex, cross‑functional technical programs
- Experience working in AI‑augmented engineering environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred
- Ruby on Rails ecommerce experience
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Payment systems or B2B ecommerce background
- Platform modernization and legacy migration experience
