Role Overview
The Commercial Enablement Vice President is responsible for building and sustaining the training infrastructure, tools, and market-facing experiences that enable a commercial organization to perform at a high level and drive measurable, profitable growth.
This leader owns two equally critical areas:
- Commercial training and enablement for sales, account executives, and implementation leaders
- Strategy and execution of industry events that strengthen market presence, support sales outcomes, and deepen client relationships
The role partners closely with Growth, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Implementation, and executive leadership to ensure teams are consistently equipped with current product knowledge, strong selling skills, and clear, aligned market messaging.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Training & Enablement
- Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive commercial training infrastructure supporting sales, account executives, and implementation leaders
- Establish a structured, repeatable training approach that can be scaled and leveraged across the organization
- Develop and curate enablement content focused on company offerings, new capabilities, core selling skills, market dynamics, messaging, and positioning
- Lead onboarding and ongoing learning programs for commercial team members
- Identify skill gaps and areas for improvement; partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and current
- Define success metrics and evaluate training effectiveness, linking enablement efforts to sales performance, growth outcomes, and client satisfaction
Industry Events & Market Presence
- Own the strategy, planning, and execution of industry events and conferences as a key growth and visibility channel
- Define event objectives, target audiences, key messages, and success metrics aligned with growth goals
- Lead development of event content, including presentations and supporting materials, aligned with brand and market messaging
- Establish structured preparation processes to help attendees maximize engagement, prospecting, and relationship-building opportunities
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of healthcare industry experience, including experience with health plans and/or healthcare delivery organizations
- 5+ years of experience in commercial enablement, training, or event planning
- 5+ years of experience supporting go-to-market strategies and sales content development
- Proven ability to build influential relationships with commercial teams as a trusted partner
- Demonstrated success collaborating with executive-level stakeholders across matrixed organizations and driving consensus
- Track record of developing and rolling out new processes, tools, and enablement programs
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for events and internal meetings
Preferred
- Graduate degree (MBA, MHA, or related field)
- Recent direct experience in Risk Adjustment and Quality
