This job will have the following responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and inquisitive Senior UX Designer to design impactful digital experiences that support consistent, evidence‑based decision‑making for medical professionals. This role focuses on deeply understanding complex user workflows and translating research insights into intuitive, effective, and elegant product solutions.
You will collaborate closely with user researchers, product managers, clinicians, engineers, and fellow designers. The team conducts frequent user research (1–2 studies per month), creating a continuous stream of insights that directly inform design decisions.
This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong craft skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for user‑centered design in complex, data‑rich environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with designers and developers to maintain cohesive, high‑quality user experiences across products
- Collaborate with UX leads, product managers, and engineering leaders to prioritize and implement design solutions in a fast‑paced environment
- Translate user research insights into informed design concepts, prototypes, and validated solutions
- Lead design efforts across one or more projects from concept through delivery, balancing user, business, and technical requirements
- Communicate design intent and user experience clearly through wireframes, flows, sketches, storyboards, mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Critique and provide constructive feedback on in‑progress design work, evaluating effectiveness and prioritization
- Contribute to and leverage existing design systems, pattern libraries, and interface guidelines
- Support and mentor other designers through collaboration and design reviews
- Work closely with researchers to plan, analyze, and incorporate findings from usability testing and user studies
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in user experience design, interaction design, or visual/graphic design
- Experience designing for responsive web and/or mobile platforms
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX processes including task flows, site maps, wireframes, and interaction design
- Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma or Sketch
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for consistency, clarity, and usability
- Ability to clearly present and defend complex design concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience creating wireframes, visual designs, interactive prototypes, and user workflows for usability testing
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Comfort receiving and delivering constructive design feedback
- Experience working within Agile development environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in graphic design, interaction design, product design, cognitive psychology, or a related discipline
- Experience designing enterprise software or complex systems
- Prior experience in healthcare or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with user interaction analytics and qualitative/quantitative UX measurement
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA Section 508, WCAG/W3C WAI guidelines)
- Experience conducting or facilitating user interviews, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and task analysis
- Participation in the UX community (meetups, conferences, professional groups)
