Business Analyst (Mid–Senior Level)
About the Role
The Judge Group is partnering with a multi-state convenience retail and fuel organization to hire a Business Analyst. This company operates a large, distributed store network and is investing in modernizing operations, upgrading technology platforms, and enabling scalable growth through stronger processes and cross-functional execution.
In this role, you will support strategic initiatives across store operations and technology. Your initial focus will be leading a structured evaluation and recommendation for camera and video surveillance systems across retail locations. Over time, you’ll contribute to broader technology enhancements, operational improvements, and analytics-driven initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Lead Business Analysis & Requirements

Partner with stakeholders across IT, Operations, Asset Protection, Facilities, and Finance

Conduct interviews and workshops to understand business needs, workflows, and success criteria

Translate insights into clear, structured documentation:

Business and functional requirements
-
Process maps and workflows
-
Acceptance criteria
-

Analyze current vs. future state and recommend process and system improvements
Drive Camera System Evaluation (Initial Priority)

Define use cases for surveillance across store interiors, exteriors, and forecourts

Research and evaluate camera systems, VMS, and NVR solutions for a multi-site retail environment

Build structured vendor comparison frameworks, including:
-
Image quality and coverage
-
Scalability and centralized management
-
Storage, retention, and bandwidth considerations
-
Security and access controls
-
Installation, support, and maintainability
-
Total cost of ownership
-

Coordinate vendor demos, discovery sessions, and pilot proposals
-
Deliver executive-ready recommendations with clear tradeoffs, risks, and cost analysis
Support Project Execution

Help define timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risks

Develop implementation readiness materials:

Pilot plans
-
Phased rollout strategies
-
Success metrics and KPIs
-
Change impact assessments

Facilitate alignment across teams and communicate progress to stakeholders
Contribute to Ongoing Initiatives

Support additional store technology and process improvement projects

Assist with vendor evaluations and solution selection

Identify opportunities to standardize workflows and improve operational efficiency

Support multi-location rollouts and adoption strategies
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
-
5–10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in technology and/or operations
-
Experience leading vendor evaluations and building structured comparison models
-
Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation
-
Working knowledge of project management principles (scope, timelines, dependencies, risk tracking)

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
-
Experience creating executive-level presentations and recommendations
-
Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Fort Worth, TX, with occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with physical security technologies (e.g., CCTV, VMS, NVR systems)
-
Background in retail, convenience retail, QSR, or multi-site environments
-
Familiarity with networking concepts related to video systems (bandwidth, edge vs. cloud)

Experience supporting pilots and large-scale rollouts
Work Environment

Hybrid role based in Fort Worth, TX

Onsite presence for stakeholder workshops, vendor sessions, and occasional store visits
