Job Description – Information Security Engineer (Firewall Engineering)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to support large‑scale, complex initiatives within our Information Security Engineering organization. In this contingent assignment, you will provide technical expertise on advanced engineering challenges, partner with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to strategic security design efforts across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and consult on complex, large‑scale Information Security Engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Analyze and solve multi‑faceted security engineering challenges, including scenarios involving intangible or unprecedented factors.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions requiring deep knowledge of security engineering functions, policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and collaborate with internal teams to ensure security requirements are met across projects and environments.
- Act as a strategic partner to engineering and business stakeholders.
Role Focus: Firewall Engineering
This position is focused on enterprise firewall engineering, not firewall policy management.
Required Technical Expertise
- Strong hands‑on experience with Palo Alto and/or Fortinet firewalls (must have).
- Solid understanding of network protocols, routing concepts, and security architecture.
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Experience operating in large‑scale enterprise environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent background demonstrated through a combination of:
- Prior work or consulting experience
- Military experience
- Technical training
- Education

This role is available in the following office locations:
- Irving, TX
- Charlotte, NC
- Chandler, AZ
Additional Notes
- Strong experience with Palo Alto or Fortinet is required.
- Prior experience working within a large enterprise is required.
