Job Title: Licensed Psychologist – VA Disability Evaluations (Remote)

Overview
The Judge Group is seeking licensed doctoral-level Psychologists to support mental health disability evaluations for Veterans. This role focuses on conducting comprehensive psychological examinations and providing professional medical opinions related to mental health claims in accordance with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) guidelines.

These evaluations are non-treatment examinations performed for disability determination purposes only.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct standard outpatient psychological evaluations and mental health assessments
• Review and evaluate requests for psychological and neuropsychological testing
• Complete non-physician clinical reviews related to testing requests during the course of a typical workday
• Participate in peer consultations, team meetings, and required training sessions
• Document and submit clinical determinations in compliance with VA guidelines and reporting standards
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by clinical leadership

Core Duties

• Perform Mental Disorder Examinations (MDE) including evaluations for:
• • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Depression
  • Military Sexual Trauma (MST)
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Eating disorders
• Provide medical opinion reports as the clinical subject matter expert for mental health disability claims
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA standards and VA privacy policies
• Complete Compensation & Pension (C&P) mental health evaluations, which are one-time disability assessments and do not involve treatment or ongoing patient care

Required Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program
• Current unrestricted psychologist license that allows full independent practice
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensure if required for business needs
• Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience
• Strong computer proficiency including:
• • Windows Operating System
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Virtual meeting software (Teams, Zoom, Webex)
• Ability to maintain a secure home office workspace
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (cable or DSL) capable of supporting secure systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience conducting VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations
• Diplomate status with the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP)
• ASPPB Certificate of Professional Qualification (CPQ)
• Experience working within managed care environments
• Experience conducting clinical peer reviews
• Familiarity with Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business
• Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding

Additional Preferred Experience

• Clinical work in higher levels of care, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
• Experience treating children and adolescent populations
• Clinical background with substance use disorders
• Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment methodologies
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and database systems such as Microsoft Access
