Job Title: Technical Product Owner
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract


Summary:
The Product Owner leads or coordinates cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully-developed products that are ready for customer use.
The Product Owner work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Product Owner monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
Investigates facts and develops solutions to problems during the design and planning phases.
Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
May be responsible for feasibility studies, field trials management, identifying product gaps, defining product requirements and engaging with customers to understand market needs and trends.
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
Follows established guidelines/procedures.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
Customer Representation
Translate business priorities to technical team members
Understand customer needs and validate solutions developed by the delivery team
Approve design on behalf of the business

Product-based Tasks:
Develop and execute product roadmap
Develop user stories, requirements and acceptance criteria
Conduct day-to-day interaction with the Development Team and the Scrum Master
Confirm product quality
Communicate value of a particular story to a scrum team and ensures user stories are well formed with clear acceptance criteria

Value Articulation:
Demonstrate value of product functionality / sprint outcomes, either on an ad hoc basis or during PI planning

Qualifications & Requirements:
3+ years of technical experience
5+ years of product ownership and/or project management experience supporting conversational AI and/or Interactive Voice Response technologies
Experience operating within the SAFe Agile framework using Azure Dev Ops and/or Jira Align
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Experience in supporting IBM Watson Voice and/or Chat solutions is nice to have.
