Our client is currently seeking a Nutritionist to support thier growing Food Manufacturing Operations. This is a fully remote position with about 10% travel. The Nutritionist will help the company fulfill their mission of delivering high-quality, results-driven food products. This position will report directly into the COO and will evaluate emerging ingredients, nutritional technologies, and scientific advancements to inform product development and dive long-term innovation. The Nutritionist will develop and formulate AAFCO and state-compliant recipes that are nutritious, safe, and appealing while maintaining accurate documentation to support product label compliance, feeding guidelines, nutritional adequacy statements, and marketing claims.Interested Candidates should contact Lee Douglas @ 610 617-1447 or email a current resume to LDouglas@judge.com

This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and formulate AAFCO- and state-compliant recipes that are nutritious, safe, and appealing to pets.

    Uphold and enhance our long-standing commitment to producing safe, healthy, and delicious pet food.

  • Serve in a strategic leadership capacity reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

  • Ensure all recipes meet internal quality standards and product specifications.

  • Stay current with scientific and technical advancements in companion animal nutrition.\

  • Evaluate emerging ingredients, nutritional technologies, and scientific advancements to inform product development and long-term innovation.

  • Maintain accurate documentation to support product label compliance, feeding guidelines, nutritional adequacy statements, and marketing claims.

  • Participate in feeding trials and related research, ensuring data collection, analysis and application of findings to improved program outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Quality Assurance teams to ensure ingredient quality and nutritional integrity.


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Animal Nutrition (Companion Animal Nutrition strongly preferred) | Ph.D. preferred
  • Deep understanding of canine & feline nutrition and related scientific disciplines.
  • Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy, including authority to develop, recommend and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Proven experience in developing pet food formulations.
  • Familiarity with dry food manufacturing processes and operations.
