Job Description – Senior Engineer- Seismic Platform

Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Seismic Engineer- Seismic Platform with strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical troubleshooting abilities. The ideal candidate will manage user access, platform configuration, reporting, and w orkflow documentation while supporting platform governance and continuous improvement initiatives. Remote work is supported.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

Technical Skills Needed

• Seismic livedocs

• Seismic liveforms

• Seismic document generator express

• Understanding platform integrations across systems

• Understanding data mapping and architecture

Soft Skills Needed:

• Able to map and lay out very complex workflows

• Impact analysis for automation recommendations

• Documentation excellence Visualization skills (to explain current/future-state workflows)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Phase 1 – Discovery & Documentation

• Document current content automation implementation end-to-end

• Map Seismic livedocs, liveforms, document generator express usage

• Understand current folder structure, metadata schema, and content profiles

• Document integration points as they relate to content automation

• Map upstream/downstream content and data workflows

• Document current pain points, redundancies, and operational risks

Phase 2 – Optimization & Automation Strategy

• Identify automation opportunities with Seismic tools

• Propose future-state content models and metadata improvements

• Recommend scalable workflows for content lifecycle management

• Design permission and tagging policy improvements

• Provide requirements for future content automation (e.g., web hooks, scripts, or in house api based solutions)

• Partner with Reporting Analyst to measure content usage → inform automation priorities
