Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Palantir Foundry and a strong ability to deliver projects from conception through final delivery. This role involves hands‑on Foundry engineering, data integration, ontology development, pipeline optimization, and building visual data reporting solutions using both existing and new data sources. You will also bring core consulting skills including analysis, planning, design, research, coordination, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Experience delivering Foundry projects in large enterprise environments (25+ team members) is required.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Define and manage Object Types, Link Types, Property Types, and Interface Types to support scalable data modeling.
  • Build and maintain ontologies using Foundry’s Ontology Manager, and apply them for data integration, analysis, and visualization.
  • Map complex business concepts to ontological structures and optimize models for performance and scalability.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources using ETL, transformation, and Foundry-native ingestion capabilities.
  • Use Code Workbooks to write and execute Python, PySpark, and SQL for data processing.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain batch, incremental, and streaming pipelines including logic design, performance tuning, error handling, and scheduling.
  • Develop backend transformation logic using semantic object linking across Pipeline Builder, Code Workbooks, and Ontology Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain data connections across filesystems, JDBC, SFTP, webhook sources, and other integrations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, Code Workbooks, Ontology Manager, and Quiver.
  • Advanced data engineering skills using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex ontologies (Object Types, Link Types, Property Types).
  • Proven ability to build and manage Foundry data pipelines (batch, incremental, streaming).
  • Experience applying semantic object linking for transformation and enrichment workflows.
  • Understanding of data quality frameworks, testing, and codification.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Palantir Foundry certification
  • Experience with .NET or C#
  • Experience designing data models that leverage object linking for advanced analytics or AI/ML use cases
  • Ability to build front‑end components or web architectures within Foundry
  • Experience designing user interactions in Foundry Workshop or low‑code/no‑code environments
  • Ability to support production applications, incident management, and end‑user guidance
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams on design, testing, documentation, and solution enhancements
