This job will have the following responsibilities:
We are undertaking a modernization initiative to transition our on‑premises SQL Server data environment to a cloud‑native architecture leveraging Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, and Databricks. The goal is to build scalable, high‑performance data platforms and pipelines that support advanced analytics, operational reporting, and future AI/ML capabilities.
To support this effort, we are seeking three specialized Data Engineers, each with deep expertise in one core technology:
- Snowflake Expert
- Azure Data Lake Expert
- SQL Server Expert (including performance tuning)
All candidates should ideally have working knowledge of Databricks.
Role Summary
Data Engineers will design, build, and optimize enterprise‑wide data solutions across Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and SQL Server. Responsibilities include developing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, optimizing performance, and advising on best‑practice architecture as we migrate and modernize the environment.
Ideal Candidate Background
While industry‑specific knowledge is not required, experience in Workforce Planning is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to understand organizational data workflows and translate them into efficient, scalable engineering solutions.
Top Required Skills (with Experience Expectations)
- Snowflake / Azure Data Lake / SQL Server (Role‑Specific Expertise)
- Years of Experience: 5–7+ years in the designated specialization
- Strong hands‑on experience building, optimizing, and managing enterprise‑scale data platforms.
- Databricks (Familiarity or Working Knowledge)
- Years of Experience: 2–4 years
- Ability to develop and maintain notebooks, pipelines, and transformations.
- Performance Tuning (Queries & Pipelines)
- Years of Experience: 4–6+ years
- Expertise in optimizing SQL, storage, compute usage, and overall system performance.
