Job Description: Senior MicroStrategy Developer / BI Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX
Onsite: 3 days per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MicroStrategy Developer / BI Analyst with 10+ years of experience in enterprise reporting, data warehousing, and performance‑optimized analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MicroStrategy (10.x / 11.x / Cloud), SQL tuning, and large‑scale BI environments within financial services.

Key Responsibilities

MicroStrategy Development

• Design, develop, and enhance dashboards, reports, visualizations, cubes, and schema objects using MicroStrategy 10.x / 11.x / Cloud.
• Optimize MicroStrategy components for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Support enterprise reporting needs across multiple business units.

BI & Data Engineering

• Apply strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL concepts, and dimensional modeling.
• Work with large and complex datasets for analytical and operational reporting.
• Perform advanced SQL development and performance tuning across Oracle and Teradata platforms.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Ensure BI solutions adhere to data governance, security, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Validate data quality and support audit requirements.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Work with business analysts, PMs, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into BI solutions.
• Support Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, refinement, and documentation.

Additional Technical Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with:
• Jira / Confluence (Agile delivery)
• CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Git / Bitbucket for version control
• Autosys for scheduling jobs
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for BI and reporting environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Primary Skill: MicroStrategy (10+ years)
• Secondary: BI Analyst / Enterprise Reporting
• Strong SQL expertise with query optimization skills
• Experience with Oracle and Teradata
• Solid understanding of BI, DW/ETL, and data modeling concepts
• Banking / Financial Services domain experience
• Ability to work in large‑scale enterprise environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills
