Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and Own Performance Metrics:
Design, implement, and maintain performance metrics for your functional domain to support organizational goals. Collaborate cross‑functionally to build clear visualizations and ensure all data is accurate, timely, and actionable (e.g., turn times, file quality, operational efficiency, capacity, and overall quality).Budget Ownership:
Manage and oversee the operational budget, with a deep understanding of cost drivers and the financial requirements needed to run the business effectively.-
Leadership & Team Development:
Provide strong leadership and direction to both direct and indirect reports. Clearly communicate organizational vision and cultivate leadership skills throughout the team.- Deliver timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback.
- Coach, motivate, and develop employees to achieve peak performance.
- Create challenging growth opportunities to support employee career advancement.
- Recruit and build a strong talent pipeline to ensure organizational bench strength and succession readiness.
- Secure necessary resources to support team goals and operational needs.
- Recognize and reward employee accomplishments consistently.
- Develop leaders who champion process improvement, professional growth, diversity, and other corporate initiatives.
- Identify staff development needs and retention opportunities.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in mortgage banking originations and management required.
- Minimum 10 years of management/leadership experience, including at least 5 years within a Mortgage Banking environment.
- Working knowledge of workflow management, loan origination systems, and leading teams is strongly preferred.
- Proficient PC skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite; experience with mortgage origination systems—particularly Encompass—is essential.
- Applied knowledge of regulatory requirements, GSE program guidelines, and mortgage documentation is required.
