Starting Salary is $100,500 - $134,250 annually. Because work-life-balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week! Salary offered is dependent on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Catastrophes can strike at any time and in any form. Sometimes there is advance notice, other times none. Some catastrophes impact a small area with high severity, and others may be widespread with less severe impact. Weather & Catastrophe Claim Services (WCCS) Stewardship helps thousands of customers every day recover from a catastrophic weather event and make a difference in their lives.

Team Managers are committed to leading and developing our employees to ensure they provide the best service for our customers. This includes:

  • Responsible for first-line supervision of assigned Claim Specialists and Claim Associates, including hiring, training, coaching, development, performance management, and salary administration
  • Provides direction and serves as a resource for knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, statutes, and insurance regulations when determining coverage and property damage
  • Responsible for the review and control of the assigned unit's claim activities including investigations, analyses, evaluations, claim payments, and adjustment expense payments
  • Recognizes events that affect customer service and provides timely communications to team members and peers
  • Responsible for compliance with company procedures, applicable federal/state laws, and legal requirements

Where You'll Work: This is a hybrid position which allows you to spend some of your time working from home as well as some time working collaboratively in-office. During the job training period you may have a higher percentage of time spent in-office to support your learning experience.

Hours of operation are continually evaluated and may change based on business need. Successful candidates are able and willing to work flexible work shifts and may be asked to work overtime and/or irregular hours.


Qualifications

Competitive candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors:
    • Promote and maintain a relentless focus on the customer when making decisions
    • Candidly assess our environment and tackle challenges head-on
    • Inspire and energize people to understand and achieve common goals

Preferred:

  • Claim operations and/or call center experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Prior leadership experience

Additional Details:

  • Employees must successfully complete all required training, including applicable licensing exam(s), MVRs, and background checks required of various state(s).
