ROLE :
We are looking for a Technical Architect with deep telecom domain expertise to design end-to-end technical solutions for large-scale transformation engagements. The role sits at delivery architecture — translating client business and network requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical designs across OSS/BSS, network functions, cloud, and integration landscapes. You will work closely with Presales, Delivery, and Client Engineering teams to shape winning proposals and ensure architectural integrity through execution.
Responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own end-to-end technical architecture across core, AI/ML platform, data infrastructure, APIs, and integration layers.
• Translate product requirements (PRDs) into detailed technical designs, system diagrams, & engineering specifications.
• Make authoritative technology choices: frameworks, cloud providers, data stores, AI/LLM orchestration tooling with
clear rationale.
• Define and enforce engineering standards: coding guidelines, security posture, performance SLOs, and CI/CD
practices.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Forward Deployment Engineers - conduct architecture and code reviews.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks early; build resilience and observability into every product layer.
• Collaborate with Product Architect on feasibility, trade-off analysis, and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Drive prototype-to-production engineering excellence; own technical debt strategy and platform evolution roadmap.
Architecture & Solution Design
- Define end-to-end technical architecture for telecom OSS/BSS, network automation, and digital platform engagements, covering application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers.
- Translate client RFPs/RFIs and business requirements into technical solution blueprints, high-level and low-level designs, and architecture decision records.
- Architect solutions spanning 4G/5G core, SD-WAN, NFV/SDN, network orchestration, fiber/access networks, and cloud-native telecom platforms.
Delivery Governance
- Provide architectural oversight through the delivery lifecycle, ensuring build teams adhere to approved designs and non-functional requirements (scalability, security, resilience, performance).
- Conduct design reviews, technical risk assessments, and drive remediation of architecture gaps during execution.
- Mentor solution/technical leads and engineering teams on architectural best practices and emerging telecom technology trends.
Technology & Innovation
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies — including cloud-native network functions, AI/agentic automation, and observability platforms — for applicability to client engagements.
- Contribute to reusable architecture assets, reference frameworks, and accelerators for the telecom practice.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Strong product engineering experience in one of the platforms: ServiceNow, Salesforce, Netcracker, Amdocs, Ericson.
• Expert-level software engineering in Python, Go, or Java with strong polyglot instincts across the stack.
• Deep experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures at scale.
• Hands-on AI/ML platform engineering: LLM integration, vector databases, RAG pipelines, model serving (vLLM,
Ollama, TensorRT-LLM, Triton, etc.).
• Cloud-native expertise across AWS / Azure / GCP: Kubernetes, Terraform, observability stacks, and FinOps.
• Strong data engineering background: streaming (Kafka/Flink), warehousing (Snowflake/BigQuery), and lineage tooling.
• Security-first mindset: zero-trust networking, secrets management, vulnerability remediation at the infra layer.

Requirements

- 10–15 years of overall IT experience with a strong track record in solution/technical architecture roles within the telecom industry.
- Hands-on exposure to telecom domains such as OSS/BSS (order management, service assurance, billing/mediation), network functions virtualization (NFV/SDN), 4G/5G core, or SD-WAN.
- Strong understanding of enterprise and cloud architecture patterns (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, API-led integration, and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker).
- Working knowledge of TM Forum frameworks (ODA, eTOM, SID, Open APIs) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automation and AI/ML-driven network operations (AIOps, agentic AI for network/service assurance) is a strong plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior client technology leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• B.S. / M.S. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Published architecture patterns, open-source contributions, or conference talks in AI/infra domain.
• Experience as a technical lead in a telecom, network automation, or enterprise SaaS environment.
