Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage WAN, and LAN network connectivity across multiple sites.
- Strong troubleshooting experience and in-depth knowledge on all Routing protocols. - EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, Static.
- Respond to and resolve network tickets/ incidents and service requests.
- Troubleshoot network issue involving switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Perform configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewall rules and access controls.
- Collaborate with vendors and ISPs for link issues, outages, and escalations.
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Support planned network changes and participate in network implementation or migration projects.
- Assist with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar for proactive alerting.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
Requirements
Primary Skills:
•DNS consolidation, performance and resolution health
•End-to-end latency monitoring and analysis
•Connectivity (intra- and inter-data center reachability)
•Packet loss detection and trending
•Route health and path stability (including BGP/underlay/overlay visibility)
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecom, Computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in Telecom Data or enterprise-level network support.
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or equivalent network equipment.
- Familiarity with network security principles and technologies (VPN, ACLs, NAT, firewalls).
- Understanding of wireless networking (Cisco, etc.).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, traceroute, ping, etc.
- Experience working in ticketing system such as ServiceNow will be preferable.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA, PCNSE, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, MPLS, or hybrid networking models.
- Familiarity with NAC solutions like Cisco ISE.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
