Overview

We are looking for SDWAN network engineers to join our team and provide order management and technical support to our customers on various SDWAN network related issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting SDWAN hardware and software systems, as well as diagnosing and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.


Responsibilities

  • Single point of contact for customer and customer advocates during project implementation phase and customer lifecycle orders (MACDs)
  • Responsible for overall implementation of the customer design, which includes overseeing of partnering services (i.e. transport)
  • Interact with both internal and client resources to complete provisioning tasks and negotiate implementation schedule
  • Creating a project schedule to meet contractual requirements or based on customer needs
  • Takes over pre-sales documentation, attends client kick-off call and provides technical validation of the solution (from HW and logical/routing perspective)
  • Provides physical site design and sizes CPE appropriately, align equipment order list with ordered circuit and provides enough performance to handle requested features
  • Creates customer premise equipment (CPE) configuration utilizing certified standards following engineering and troubleshooting guides
  • Supports (plans, designs, performs) complex network changes in scheduled events
  • Provide customer network design and engineering support, responsible for delivering and lifecycle change management support
  • Setting up HW requirements, designing and configuring network infrastructure and integrating other customer services (or 3rd party)
  • Participate in Critical outages.
  • Triage tickets for troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Identify circuit issues and create tickets into the appropriate teams and or Vendors.
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
  • Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with end users.
  • Talking to end users to determine the nature of the problem.
  • Resolving the issues within SLA.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of communication technologies and networking technologies
  • Knowledge of Project Management and best practices is advantageous
  • 2+ years of experience in Tier 1, Tier 2 or helpdesk support, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of IP Core, VoIP, SDWAN, SNA and other advanced communication technologies
  • Understanding of Managed router services (MRS) and Managed LAN (MLAN)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • The ability to interact on the phone with the customers and their peers during the implementation and problem determination process
  • Flexible, analytical mind, problem solver, good time management, and team player
  • CCNA/CCNP certification is desirable
  • Will be required to work in various shifts (Day and or Night) including holidays and weekends. Overtime as needed
