We are seeking an Agile Scrum Master with expertise in mainframe migration and modernization projects to lead cross-functional teams through iterative delivery, process optimization, and risk management.
Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Coach team members on Agile principles and best practices to foster high-performance, self-organizing teams.
Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage backlog and prioritize migration tasks for effective sprint execution.
Ensure strong alignment between development, testing, and infrastructure teams throughout the migration process.
Identify and resolve impediments impacting team progress; escalate risks and dependencies proactively to stakeholders.
Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and delivery timelines.
Prepare and present sprint metrics, status updates, and reports for leadership and team visibility.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize migration workflows.
Encourage and support adoption of automation and DevOps practices, where applicable.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience
Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or equivalent, with strong understanding of Agile frameworks and scaling practices.
Experience with mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2), migration strategies, and modernization projects (Cloud, Distributed Systems).
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in complex environments.
Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile collaboration tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large-scale migration programs.
Understanding of regulatory compliance and data security considerations in migration projects.
Exposure to hybrid Agile-Waterfall delivery environments.
