We are currently seeking a OpenShift Engineer - Irving, Texas to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

This is a permanent, fulltime, salaried position with benefits. Not open to C2C or C2H.

This position is fully Remote/Work from Home and may be based anywhere in the continental United States

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate microservices and event driven integrations
• Engineer new capabilities to the OpenShift Platform, and delivering those capabilities in a fully automated and supportable fashion
• Maintain the security, stability, and performance of the Openshift Container platforms
• Researching and implementing ways to automate
• Understand complex systems and how to troubleshoot and make them highly available
• Work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience

Basic, Required Qualifications:

• Minimum three years of experience in:
  • container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • working with Ansible Playbook and Ansible Tower
  • developing infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • working with Splunk and dashboard creation
  • working in an agile environment (Jira, Confluence)
  • working with RedHat Linux RHEL 6/7/8, Kubernetes observability / logging - Grafana, Prometheus
  • working with CI/CD application deployment experience.
  • upgrading and patching a k8s cluster and applications in the cluster

Other Desired Qualifications:

• Best practices knowledge around building a supportable repeatable k8s cluster with deployed applications
• Strong understanding of network and container/Linux security related to k8s
