  • You will have the unique opportunity to:
    • Be on the ground floor of Baker Tilly’s advancement of its environmental impact assessment, reporting capabilities, and strategy to advance our ability to set reduction targets.
    • A key project will be helping design a repeatable, scalable supplier engagement framework in collaboration with the ESG Manager and Director of Procurement to enable long-term Scope 3 tracking and emissions and reductions opportunities.
    • Additionally, they will work directly with the ESG Manager and Director of Procurement on developing policy and a process for tracking our Scope 3 emissions. This will include assisting the ESG Manager in preparing Baker Tilly's first Scope 3 baseline. This role will allow them to learn more about the professional services industry and hone relationship-building and problem-solving skills through collaboration with subject-matter experts in various departments, such as procurement, operations and data analytics.
    • In addition, they will play a key role and gain valuable experience in a number of foundational programs, including developing and implementing a supplier engagement approach, enhancing data collection efforts, analyzing carbon data through the use of the Persefoni reporting tool (including Scope 1, 2, and 3 data), developing incentive and monitoring options, creating actionable guidance and resources, and building a roadmap for ongoing communications. Qualifications

Successful candidates will be:

  • Enrolled as a student during the current school year in an Accounting, Information Systems or Finance related degree
  • Selected as a Climate Corps Fellow
  • Able to work full time for the duration of the internship
  • There is currently no immigration sponsorship available for this position

Successful candidates will have:

  • Outstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization desired
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
  • Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

The pay rate range for this job position is $21.59 to $37.75. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
