Job Summary
The Sr. Manager is responsible for leading a team in the strategic development of media plans and execution of operational workflows and policies. That includes overseeing pre-sale responsibilities of the team, guiding them in understanding the client objective and optimizing yield principles to deliver a strong solution that supports revenue goals. Approach all challenges through an analytical lens and possess the ability to lead in an environment of change. Accountable for ensuring that budgets and work performance standards are consistently met, while keeping the team aligned with the organization’s overarching objectives. Effectively communicates operational plans to direct reports. Contributes to functional strategy development. The role will partner across the organization, working with many different teams to put in place strategies, initiatives, and workflows that will evolve inventory utilization and simplify the customer experience. The role will require urgency and action in a fast-paced environment, while having the steady professional presence necessary at Comcast Advertising. Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Media Planning team through coaching, mentorship, and strategic oversight, fostering individual growth and collective excellence.
- Develop and champion a clear Media Planning vision that achieves evolving organizational priorities, revenue and business objectives, and consistent, aligned execution across the team.
- Guide the team in the strategic development of media plans by deepening understanding of client objectives, product capabilities, pricing and inventory landscape, and revenue goals in close partnership with Sales and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic consultant, driving packaging and product innovation, workflow optimization, and scalable operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Yield, Product, Operations, and Sales leaders to develop best practices, address revenue and operational barriers, and ensure cohesive, efficient campaign execution.
- Lead cross team and enterprise initiatives, including new product rollouts, system enhancements, inventory and policy changes, and complex pricing and planning analyses.
- Model and promote analytical rigor, leveraging data and insights to inform planning decisions, performance standards, and continuous improvement.
- Establish, evaluate, and communicate team goals and performance standards to ensure operational excellence, policy compliance, and alignment with broader organizational strategy.
- Represent Media Planning in senior level partner conversations, independently presenting strategy, insights, and updates while modeling resilience, adaptability, and sound judgment.
- Provide support and solutions in operational areas as needed.
- Develop and effectively communicate team goals and priorities.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in advertising with a focus on video advertising or ad tech – publisher or distributor experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of the linear TV and streaming advertising ecosystem, including addressable preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and focus on the projects that will have the biggest revenue impact.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to lead trainings/presentations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional relationship management skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to simplify complex ideas for general understanding.
- A passion for advertising and media – and where it is going next.
- Education Level - Bachelor's Degree

This job can be performed in Maryland, and New Jersey with a Pay Range of $83,643.19 - $160,316.11Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
