Job Summary
We’re seeking a skilled and collaborative Engineer 2 to join our Excellence in Operations team, focused on Fortinet and NOC responsibilities. This role serves as a key escalation point for complex network issues across CRAN, CMTS, CDV, HSI, and transport platforms. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to ensure network stability, performance, and continuous improvement—while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of operational excellence.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network issues across CRAN, CMTS, CDV, HSI, and transport.
- Monitor network health, analyze performance data, and recommend improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper technologies.
- Perform port turn-ups/downs, circuit provisioning, and outage isolation.
- Collaborate with engineering and national teams to support network tuning and capacity planning.
- Mentor and guide Engineer 1s, supporting their technical development.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring:
2–5 years of experience in a NOC or network engineering environment.
- Hands-on Fortinet experience is required; Cisco and Juniper proficiency strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of IP networking, transport systems, and voice infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-first mindset.
