Job Summary

"First level in the DE/Fellow program. Please refer to the DE/Fellow program for complete requirements and details. Responsible for providing senior technical leadership and expertise as an individual contributor in collaboration with various cross-functional project teams. Works as an internal consultant in one or more areas of cyber network engineering expertise, often in the form of a subject matter expert. Responsible for working with the network and systems engineers to create, maintain and enforce security plans and policies effecting the network. Responsible for securing all information and information systems assets of the Company network infrastructure. Design/install/operations of VPN, SoHo, WAF, IDS, DDoS, Partner Access Solutions, Network Security Stack powering Zero-Trust, Firewalls and microsegmentation protecting CCS operations infrastructure (SIEM, DataLake, WAF, IDS, SOC dashboards). Plays a lead role in the design of security safeguards and ongoing verification of Company's network security posture. Acts as a network security subject matter expert for the company. Assists in researching next generation network security technology options and recommends feasible, affordable, scalable and manageable data/voice/video security safeguards as well as assessing the security impact of technology strategies of projects from other departments on future network infrastructure designs, including database and application security. Provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance to others. Is a lead contributor and may participate in development of business strategy. Has business-wide impact/influence. Known expert within the field both internally and externally.

Job Description

"Core Responsibilities
Recommends and ensures implementation of security safeguards to the Company's IP network. Security safeguards should be in accordance with industry standards, generally accepted business practices and Company security policies.
Ensures Network and Systems Engineers follow security best practices when deploying/configuring hardware and software.
Collaborates with the Network Operations team to ensure disaster recovery plans are viable and current.
Works with the Network Operating Center to maintain up-to-date troubleshooting guides that pertain to security.
Recommends policy for responding to security incidents along with a training program for those that might be involved.
Researches new and/or updated technologies as they come available that pertain to our environment.
Performs regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
Communicates security requirements to project teams based on understanding of approved security policies, standards and baselines.
Takes lead on security audits, both internal and external.
Develops security scripts and recommend tools to support the Operations Security function.
Helps ensure that customer SLAs are met at all times. Responds quickly to downtime situations.
Plays a lead role on initiatives that deliver significant business value to the company. Invents or implements capabilities that fundamentally enable new lines of business.
Identifies technology strategic growth opportunities that enable the business to grow; contributions result in tangible business impact/value.
Demonstrates expert knowledge of the company's products, policies, practices and procedures.
Mentors and inspires a diverse set of at least 3 more junior engineers; at least one at the distinguished engineer or engineer 6 level.

Compensation

National Pay Range: $112,780.95 USD-$264,330.36 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
