Job Summary

Our 10–12-week program as an intern at Comcast will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop professional skills, gain insight to the day-to-day operations of a top media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network. You will gain invaluable knowledge of our industry, be part of our diverse and welcoming culture and receive exposure to other areas of the business, all while working on real life business projects and functions.

This position falls under Comcast Advertising’s FreeWheel organization. FreeWheel’s TV and video advertising technology is built for today’s ever-evolving multiscreen ecosystem. Whether you’re a buyer or a seller, we offer all the tools, data, and insights you need to drive results. FreeWheel’s platform makes TV and video advertising work.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and build infrastructure and tooling to provide high scalability, reliability, and sub-second performance levels using industry best practices.

  • Writing code and scripts to support Infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and automated incident resolution.

  • Support and extend the observability stack to capture and alert on any system issues.

  • Writing systems documentation, troubleshooting playbooks, and other instruction manuals.

  • Regular, Consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Requirements

  • Pursuant to a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, relevant technical field.

  • Knowledge and some experience working with Linux, cloud, or containers

  • Knowledge and some experience with coding in higher-level languages, such as Python, Java, or C++

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong verbal / written communication skills

  • Ability to work 40 hours the entire duration of the program

  • Authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship in the future

Pay

The range for this role is $38-$40/hr. and is based on academic level of achievement and business structure.

  • Rising Sophomore: $38/hour
  • Rising Junior: $39/hour
  • Rising Senior: $40/hour

Compensation

Base Pay: $40.00

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
