About this opportunity:

We are seeking a Head of Security Operations for Ericsson Americas, who will manage aspects of security operations across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. This leader will ensure the implementation and effectiveness of the physical security, executive protection, and business continuity programs are aligned with Ericsson Group level objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and Legal, the Head of Security Operations addresses regional risks, establishes security policies specific to the region, and responds to emerging threats to protect people and assets.

This position based in Plano, Texas, and reports to the Head of Security, Americas.

What you will do:
  • Lead a team of approximately 10 security professionals across the region’s organization to continuously improve security strategies and mitigate risks.
  • Be responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of physical security across multiple sites in the US, Canada, and Latin America. Ensure the safety and protection of company assets, employees, visitors and facilities.
  • Coordinate and drive incident management response to physical security incidents to ensure prompt action to limit exposure.
  • Coordinate crisis management across the region.
  • Collaborate with the global security organization to preserve enterprise security, create policies, and implement technologies, to protect Ericsson’s infrastructure and sensitive information
  • Keep informed of the latest physical technology to continue to improve existing systems and programs.
  • Interface with law enforcement and security-focused government agencies (e.g., FBI, CISA, RCMP, etc.) to strengthen Ericsson's security posture in the region.
  • Ensure that security risks are represented and considered in the overall Enterprise Risk Management process, employing best practices.
The skills you bring:
  • A bachelor’s degree in security management, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in security roles, with people management experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of physical security principles, risk assessment, incident and/or crisis management.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies across complex, multi-site organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, and the ability to lead across organizations without a direct reporting line.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex security issues in clear, business-focused and professional terms.
  • Skilled in developing and leading a collaborative team of 10+ security personnel dedicated to investigative work.
  • Security and Risk Management trainings and certifications (CISSP, CISM or others) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal). Spanish is also a valuable asset for this position, but not required.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Health
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
