About this opportunity:
The Customer Solutions Manager leads technical engagements to support opportunities within our US Government team, driving Ericsson's US Government 5G business. This role demands a deep technical understanding of Ericsson’s portfolio, focusing on 5G networks, and strong engagement with US Government clients, Ericsson Federal Technologies Group, and System Integrator partners (e.g., Oceus Networks).
What you will do:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key US Government and system integrator decision-makers, leveraging consultative skills to align solutions with client needs.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of competition, market dynamics, industry trends, and the US Government's 5G strategies.
- Lead onsite customer dialogues, presenting alternative long-term technology paths based on your industry expertise.
- Champion customer requirements internally, collaborating with Ericsson product teams to shape the company’s roadmap and capabilities.
- Build a high-performing organization to capture sales opportunities and ensure top-quality deliverables across engagement models.
- Drive opportunity identification and sales generation, positioning Ericsson as a technology leader with differentiated end-to-end solutions.
- Foster strong relationships with Ericsson account management, customer decision-makers, influencers, business units, and third-party partners.
- Lead the technical sales process, designing comprehensive and sophisticated solutions to address customer needs.
- Evaluate Ericsson’s strategy and plans against customers’ strategic objectives.
- Initiate and drive customer dialogues to expand existing business. Deliver high-quality customer presentations/proposals.
- Prioritize customer needs, ensuring timely delivery of tailored solutions.
- Identify up-sell opportunities to increase sales volumes throughout the engagement process.
- Write impactful position papers and communicate effectively using government-specific language and terminology.
- Deliver high-quality proposals that align with customer expectations and US Government standards.
- Demonstrate openness to learning US Government processes and adapting work to deliver high-quality outcomes.
The skills you bring:
- Minimum 12 years in ICT, including relationship sales, product management, or consulting; 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven ability to develop architectures and solutions collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Extensive, current experience in cellular networks (sales/solutions, network transformation, Core evolution, RAN evolution; 5G preferred).
- Experience shaping technical strategy with customers.
- Knowledge of pricing, selling, and packaging Radio, Core, and End-to-End Solutions.
- Ability to influence executive/senior-level stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of Ericsson’s portfolio.
- Exceptional consultative skills to understand and address client challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts using government-specific language.
- Ability to write compelling position papers and high-quality proposals tailored to US Government requirements.
- Innovative problem-solving with critical thinking skills.
- Accountability, commitment, and a passion for winning.
- Openness to learning US Government processes and adapting to deliver high-quality deliverables.
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology preferred; MS degree or equivalent experience is a plus.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Sales Incentive Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
Your Health
Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.
Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
