We are seeking a seasoned leader to serve as Vice President and Head of the Global HCP Unit.


HCPs & Social platforms are rapidly expanding their CAPEX budgets to serve the burgeoning demand for cloud and AI services, including sovereign and edge cloud deployments globally. Ericsson & HCPs have strategic collaborations across the entire 5G ecosystem, and the HCPs are both critical partners as well as customers of Ericsson.

The HCP Customer Unit leads Ericsson business development, sales and delivery with HCPs and Social Platforms globally. We leverage our global strength in managed services to deliver managed cloud, infrastructure and network engineering services to the HCPs. We seek opportunities to position Ericsson portfolio offerings such as Private 5G enterprise/neutral host solutions, 5G lab-as-a service, microwave etc. with the HCPs.

This role will report to the Head of Customer Unit Regional Customers and Hyperscale Cloud Providers and be located in Plano, Texas or Santa Clara, California.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop broad and deep relationships with executives in the HCP customer organization ranging from their Cloud & Infrastructure teams, sourcing organizations etc.
  • Formulate & direct HCP business development and strategy including the creation of new Ericsson business offerings to HCPs with insight into market trends and competitive mix.
  • Seek OEM & financial partnerships, and appropriate business models to address the burgeoning demand in edge & sovereign AI clouds.
  • Identify new lines of business with existing HCPs and new targets, and ideate on appropriate operational and financial structures
  • Work with Ericsson product, portfolio and strategy teams to explore new offerings for the HCP market.
  • Lead and build a world-class team to continue growing this unique line of business with Ericsson.
  • Act as General Manager – active leadership and management of all business, financials and operations for the HCP Unit

To be successful in the role, you must have a growth mindset and demonstrate:

  • An entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating financial and business acumen, with the drive to innovate business and GTM models to drive new revenue streams for the HCP Unit
  • Proven ability & experience in commercial management, executive relationship management and business development
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work across external and internal organizations

Key Qualifications:

  1. BS Degree in engineering or business disciplines.
  2. 10+ years of relevant ICT experience including leadership roles in sales and business development.
  3. Data center & cloud experience a significant plus.
  4. Knowledge of Managed Services Business and Operations a plus
  5. Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset – self driven
  6. Strong Senior Executive Presence and proven ability to develop long lasting senior executive business relations

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Range for Plano, Texas location: $220,000 - $257,000

Range for Santa Clara, California location: $235,000 - $275,000

SIP: Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security
We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s 401(k) plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and up to a 4% company match, leading to a maximum company contribution of 7% annually. Employees will also receive company paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage and paid company short-term and long-term disability benefits. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided up to 40 days of paid time off per year, including 15 days of accrued annual vacation, 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 10 sick days, and 1 volunteer day. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Those with additional vacation time at the end of the year may sell one week of vacation, equal to a week of pay. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of maternity/medical leave, 6 weeks of paternity or adoption leave at 100% of pay, and medical leave at 100% or 66 2/3% of pay, based on length of service.
