Job Description

Position Title: Manager of Contingent Workforce Management

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Your role

The Manager of Contingent Workforce Management will lead the strategic direction, governance, and optimization of the organization’s contingent workforce program. This role is responsible for driving workforce agility, cost efficiency, and compliance while ensuring alignment with enterprise talent and procurement strategies. The position will also serve as the face for MSP and VMS partnerships, ensuring performance, innovation, and strategic alignment.

What you’ll do

  • Contingent Workforce Oversight: Act as the central point of contact between internal teams and the MSP managing our VMS platform. Manages day-to-day operations of the contingent workforce program, including requisition/submittal processes, job placements, subvendor/supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Process Oversight: Ensure that all processes related to contingent workforce management are executed efficiently and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Issue Resolution: Monitor and manage escalations, resolving issues related to timekeeping, invoicing, onboarding/offboarding, and compliance.
  • Data & Reporting: Analyze VMS data and generate regular reports on contingent labor metrics, cost control, and vendor performance.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with hiring managers, HR, Procurement, and Finance to ensure alignment with workforce strategy and operational needs.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Managed Service Provider, Tapfin. Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs; participate in business reviews with the MSP and supplier partners.
  • Compliance: Ensure MSP and suppliers are compliant with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Educate internal stakeholders on contingent workforce best practices and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline VMS workflows and improve vendor engagement and program performance.
  • Service Delivery & Communication: Acts as liaison between internal business units and suppliers; conducts regular meetings to review program performance.

What you’ll need

  • 6+ years of experience in contingent workforce management, talent acquisition, procurement, or related fields.
  • Proven expertise in managing enterprise-wide workforce programs.
  • Good understanding of MSP/VMS ecosystems and contingent labor models.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Experience in navigating complex, matrixed organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with global workforce programs.
  • Familiarity with VMS platforms (Fieldglass).
  • Background in organizational transformation or change management.
