Strategically design, plan, and execute user research studies and analyze behavioral metrics to paint a complete picture of our users to drive design decisions and user experience priorities. This role requires a proven track record of user research strategy and execution using a deep toolbox of methodologies to explore behavior, workflow and motivations of our users. Work you'll do

As a Manager, Experience Researcher on the DT-US Product Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining and leading research strategies for digital products, including mobile experiences, across the product development lifecycle.
  • Planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative research using methods such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, ethnography, concept evaluation, and behavioral analysis to generate actionable insights.
  • Translating research findings into personas, recommendations, dashboards, and success metrics that inform product strategy, design decisions, and roadmap priorities.
  • Partnering with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritize research topics, facilitate workshops, and connect teams to user needs.
  • Leading research workstreams across multiple products, mentoring team members, and helping strengthen research practices across the experience community.

US Deloitte Technology Product Engineering modernizes software and product delivery through a scalable, outcome-focused model that supports Deloitte’s businesses, service lines, and internal operations. As Deloitte’s primary internal development organization, the team builds and delivers digital products that help the organization operate effectively and lead in the market. Product Engineering is known for delivering innovative solutions with measurable impact and a strong focus on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience conducting user research for digital products, including mobile experiences
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, ethnography, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, concept evaluation, and mobile testing
  • Experience translating research findings into product strategy, design recommendations, personas, and prioritized opportunities
  • Experience analyzing behavioral data, product usage metrics, survey results, and usability findings, including creation of dashboards or reporting
  • Ability to lead research workstreams and mentor researchers or cross-functional team members
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience facilitating workshops using design-thinking or similar methods
  • Experience conducting generative, iterative, and post-launch research across the product development lifecycle
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional product teams that include product management, design, and engineering
  • Experience supporting enterprise platforms, internal tools, or large-scale digital products
  • Experience using behavioral analytics to evaluate search behavior, feature engagement, user pathways, or similar product metrics

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,100 to $232,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
