Position Summary

Deloitte University is Deloitte’s national learning campus in Westlake, Texas, where employees and clients attend informational and learning programs. The Deloitte University Production team produces live events for programs, using cutting-edge audio, video, and lighting technologies to deliver memorable, impactful experiences for all attendees. The Stage Manager serves as the central communication hub and operational coordinator for DU plenary events. This role ensures seamless show execution by managing speaker flow, coordinating technical cues, and maintaining the production timeline. The Stage Manager acts as the critical link between presenters, backstage operations, and the technical production team (lighting, audio, and video).

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and understand the show flow, run-of-show documents, and any script elements needed to support show execution. Create and distribute run-of-show updates, cue sheets, and communication protocols.
  • Conduct pre-show production meetings with the technical crew, producers, and client stakeholders.
  • Organize and lead technical rehearsals and speaker run-throughs with the technical crew and show producer.
  • Lead live events by calling cues for audio, lighting, speakers, and video based on the established run-of-show.
  • Coordinate speaker transitions and timing to keep the program on schedule.
  • Monitor show flow and make real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate changes, delays, or issues to the technical crew and production leadership.
  • Coordinate with the audio team on speaker microphone assignments
  • Coordinate with the lighting design team to review planned scenes, providing input and guidance on adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of show calling and technical direction experience
  • Experience calling complex technical shows across multiple departments
  • Expert-level communication skills (clear, calm, and authoritative)
  • Proven track record of managing high-profile speakers or executives
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex technical programs
  • Understanding of theatrical/concert lighting, audio, and video systems; familiarity with presentation technologies (confidence monitors, teleprompters, slides)
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in audio/visual production, media technology, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
