Senior Manager, Environmental Compliance

Essential Functions
- Further develop and implement standardized procedures, tools, and training programs to support environmental due diligence and permitting across CyrusOne’s U.S. portfolio.
- Provide subject matter expertise on environmental assessments and permitting, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), noise impact analyses, air permitting, water and wastewater permitting, and wetlands.
- Partner cross-functionally with Design, Construction, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure environmental requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and integrated into project planning, execution, and turnover.
- Represent CyrusOne in external stakeholder engagements, including interactions with regulatory agencies, local governments, community groups, and public hearings as needed.
- Track, interpret, and advise on changes to U.S. environmental regulations and policy, and develop compliance strategies accordingly.
Minimum Requirements
Experience / Skills
- 10+ years of experience in environmental permitting, compliance, and due diligence, preferably within data centers, infrastructure, energy, or large-scale industrial development.
- Strong working knowledge of environmental regulations, with subject matter expertise in air quality and/or environmental noise.
- Experience managing environmental permitting for data centers or other high-impact, mission-critical infrastructure is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent technical writing, documentation, and reporting capabilities.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including interactions with regulators, consultants, internal leadership, and community representatives.
- Comfortable presenting environmental risk, permitting strategies, and compliance considerations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. A relevant graduate degree or professional certification is a plus.
Work Environment
This role is remote or office-based on Dallas, Texas, with up to 25% travel to support site development, permitting activities, and stakeholder engagement.
