Essential Functions:
HR Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance, engagement, and workforce planning.
- Support day-to-day HR operations, including coaching, counseling, conflict resolution, and employee development.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on strategic hiring, workforce transitions, and onboarding processes.
Operational & Field Team Support
- Build strong relationships with field leaders and provide on-the-ground support to drive employee engagement and organizational alignment.
- Travel up to 10-20% to data center locations nationwide to engage with teams and address site-specific needs.
Talent and Engagement Strategy
- Implement employee engagement initiatives and partner with leadership on survey follow-ups and retention efforts.
- Guide talent review discussions and succession planning processes to identify and grow internal talent.
- Coordinate with CyrusOne’s Operations Technical Training team to develop and deliver learning programs for field operations roles, including role-based development and upskilling efforts.
Change Management & Organizational Development
- Support organizational change initiatives such as site expansions, restructures, and leadership transitions.
- Lead initiatives to enhance team dynamics, communication, and cultural alignment in the field.
Safety and Compliance Collaboration
- Work closely with the EHS team to align HR practices with safety protocols, support incident investigations, and promote a proactive safety culture.
Analytics & Workforce Insights
- Utilize HR data and dashboards to identify trends in attrition, performance, and engagement, providing operational leaders with actionable insights.
- Comfortable flexing between strategic initiatives and routine hands-on administrative HR tasks.
Performance & Capability Building
- Coach managers on performance feedback, development planning, and recognition strategies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across all levels of the operations team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally supporting operational or field-based teams.
- High energy and a positive attitude are a must.
- Practical knowledge of employee relations, employment law, performance management, and learning & development principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); experience with HRIS (Workday preferred).
Education Requirements – (List any certifications, degrees, etc. required)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and PHR certification, Master’s degree in HR Management preferred.
Minimum Qualifications – (Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job)
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to understand, evaluate and make judgments
- Knowledge of all federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skill and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in composing and proofing materials
- Adaptable to changing work environment and shifting priorities
- Strong proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Experience Required
Minimum five years of experience providing HR management support and consultation.
Must have the following:
- At least five years of experience in a generalist role (Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits Administration, Development and Training, Talent Acquisition and Management);
