Provide Critical Facility leadership and direction in areas of policies, compliance, and procedures, risk assessment/mitigation, customer SLA adherence, maintenance and testing policies, safety, and employee development. This role is crucial to ensuring that the company’s data centers are reliable, secure, and efficient in supporting the organization’s critical business needs.

Essential Functions:

• Work closely with other CyrusOne Operations teams, including Solutions Engineering, Design, and Construction to ensure facilities meet high availability, reliability, efficiency, and productivity targets with world-class customer success and satisfaction.
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of site Operations to ensure 100% uptime.
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day performance of the CyrusOne Facilities Reliability Group.
• Find creative solutions to support the reduction of operational costs and maximization of infrastructure utilization.
• Lead project work with field operations and cross-functional teams and customers to identify required engineering changes in infrastructure systems, define project scope, prioritize, schedule, and execute projects.
• Participate in data center capacity and roadmap planning with sales, implementations, customer success, and portfolio management to allocate data center space.
• Complete understanding of customer SLAs and engineering specific lease obligations to data center operations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that data center operations are integrated with IT systems and services and ensure that there is effective communication across teams.
• Ability to establish operational standards and ensure portfolio-wide compliance.

Experience/Skills:

• 10+ years in leadership position supporting data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Ability to generate technical documentation and proficiency in analyzing schematics and development drawings.
• Experience with critical infrastructure systems supporting data centers, such as power distribution, airflow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM software, structured cabling, and cable management.
• Demonstrated success at developing teams and future leaders.
• Ability to apply CyrusOne company values to the execution of organizational strategy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complete problems.
• International experience a plus
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or equivalent job experience.

Work environment:

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
• Ability to participate in regular meetings across multiple international time zones.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, including international.
