CTG is seeking to fill a Lead Java Microservices Architect – AWS, Kubernetes & Telecom/Streaming position for our client.
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 10 months
Duties:
Design and develop scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
Build integrations for customer onboarding, product catalogs, pricing, checkout, billing, payments, and order fulfillment.
Deploy and support cloud-native applications using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Lead production troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis.
Use Claude Code and AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing, and engineering efficiency.
Collaborate with architecture, product, QA, and DevOps teams.
Skills:
Expert Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Spring Integration, and Apache Camel.
AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems.
Dynatrace, distributed tracing, application monitoring, and production support.
Mandatory: Hands-on Claude Code experience.
Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
Experience:
10–15+ years of Java development experience.
Approximately 10 years of hands-on AWS experience.
Strong telecom, OTT streaming, subscription services, or digital media domain experience.
Experience integrating enterprise billing, payment, customer management, and order fulfillment systems.
Proven expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native development, and complex production troubleshooting.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
