Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions supporting enterprise digital applications.
This position focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, reusable test suites, and automated testing processes across web, mobile, API, and integrated applications. The engineer will work closely with Product, Development, Design, and technical teams to improve software quality, identify defects, and ensure applications are ready for release.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software quality assurance experience, including at least 4 years of hands-on automation engineering, with strong programming skills and experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable testing components.
-
Build and execute automated smoke, functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression test suites.
-
Develop automated testing solutions for web, mobile, API, and integrated applications.
-
Utilize automation tools such as Ranorex, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, or Postman/Newman.
-
Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD pipelines, including scheduled execution, reporting, and release quality gates.
-
Develop and maintain test data, mock services, and API contract testing processes.
-
Troubleshoot failed or unstable automated tests and identify issues related to application functionality, environments, data, or automation scripts.
-
Maintain automation code in source control and participate in peer reviews to improve test reliability and maintainability.
-
Collaborate with development and product teams to define testable requirements and automation-ready acceptance criteria.
-
Identify, document, and track software defects using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
-
Monitor and report automation coverage, test execution results, defect trends, and overall release readiness.
-
Validate application functionality across supported browsers, mobile devices, and integrated systems.
-
Perform targeted manual and exploratory testing when automation is not practical or coverage has not yet been established.
-
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
-
Support continuous improvement of testing processes, automation stability, and software quality.
Required Qualifications
-
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 4+ years of hands-on test automation engineering.
-
Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks and reusable test components.
-
Hands-on experience with at least one major automation tool, such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Ranorex, Appium, Espresso, or Postman/Newman.
-
Experience automating tests for web, mobile, API, or integrated applications.
-
Experience integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD pipelines.
-
Strong understanding of API testing, UI testing, regression testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflow validation.
-
Experience with test-data management, mock services, and software defect lifecycle management.
-
Proficiency in at least one automation programming or scripting language, such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
-
Ability to troubleshoot automation failures and distinguish application defects from environmental, data, integration, or scripting issues.
-
Experience working with source control, test reporting, and automated execution processes.
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
-
Experience supporting automation initiatives within complex enterprise application environments.
-
Familiarity with Agile development practices and cross-functional software delivery teams.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on QA Automation Engineer who has experience building and maintaining automation frameworks rather than simply executing existing test scripts.
This individual should be comfortable writing automation code, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting flaky tests, and improving automated test coverage across multiple application types.
Candidates with strong experience in Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Ranorex, or similar automation tools, combined with solid programming skills and Azure DevOps experience, will be particularly well suited for this opportunity.
