SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect – Asset Accounting & Project Systems

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Solution Architect with extensive expertise in SAP FICO, New Asset Accounting, and Project Systems (PS) to support enterprise finance transformation initiatives.

This position focuses on designing and implementing SAP S/4HANA Asset Accounting solutions, integrating financial processes with Project Systems, and supporting complex fixed asset migrations from legacy environments.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of SAP FICO experience, including participation in at least two end-to-end transformation engagements, and has led solution design involving S/4HANA New Asset Accounting, parallel valuation, assets under construction (AuC), and WBS-based capital project accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA New Asset Accounting solutions.

  • Design Asset Accounting processes supporting parallel valuation requirements.

  • Develop and implement integration between SAP Finance (FI/CO) and Project Systems (PS) for capital project cost tracking and settlement.

  • Configure and support Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and internal order processes associated with capital projects.

  • Manage the assets under construction (AuC) lifecycle, including cost accumulation, settlement, and capitalization.

  • Support the transition of fixed asset subledger data from legacy applications into SAP S/4HANA Asset Accounting.

  • Coordinate financial and project-related data migration and reconciliation activities.

  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders and SAP functional teams to align system design with business requirements.

  • Support end-to-end finance transformation initiatives involving SAP S/4HANA.

  • Ensure integration of Asset Accounting processes with other SAP Finance modules.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of SAP FICO experience, including extensive SAP Finance functional expertise.

  • Experience supporting at least two end-to-end SAP transformation engagements.

  • Demonstrated experience leading the design of SAP S/4HANA New Asset Accounting solutions.

  • Strong understanding of parallel valuation within SAP Asset Accounting.

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing SAP Finance and Project Systems integration.

  • Experience with WBS structures, internal orders, and capital project cost tracking.

  • Strong understanding of assets under construction (AuC), including settlement and capitalization processes.

  • Experience migrating fixed asset subledger data from legacy applications to SAP S/4HANA.

  • Experience supporting SAP financial and project data migration and reconciliation.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with finance, functional, and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) and WBS-based project accounting.

  • Experience integrating SAP Asset Accounting with additional Finance modules.

  • Background supporting large-scale enterprise finance transformation programs.

  • Experience working in complex SAP environments involving capital-intensive financial processes.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior SAP Finance Solution Architect or SAP FICO Lead who has personally led the design and implementation of S/4HANA Asset Accounting solutions.

This individual should understand how Asset Accounting, Project Systems, WBS structures, internal orders, and capital project settlement work together within SAP S/4HANA.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have supported multiple end-to-end SAP transformations and can confidently manage the complexities of parallel valuation, AuC capitalization, fixed asset migration, and financial reconciliation.
