Workday Integration Analyst

Type: Contract
Work Setting: 100% Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a Workday Integration Analyst to support the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Workday integrations, reporting, security, and related technical solutions.

This is a hands-on Workday technical position working across EIB, Workday Web Services, Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, APIs, Reporting, and Calculated Fields. The analyst will support both new development and production operations while collaborating closely with HRIS functional teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and other technical teams.

This opportunity is well suited for a Workday professional with approximately 2–4 years of HRIS or Workday technical experience who wants to continue expanding their technical expertise across the Workday ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations.

  • Build and support integrations using EIB, Workday Web Services, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio.

  • Develop technical solutions based on business and functional requirements.

  • Create and maintain Cloud Connect integrations.

  • Develop and maintain Workday reports using Workday Reporting, Calculated Fields, and Workday Report Designer.

  • Support Workday Security configuration and related documentation.

  • Prepare and execute migrations and deployments across Workday Sandbox, Preview, and Production environments.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.

  • Schedule and monitor integrations and reports and configure operational notifications.

  • Investigate integration failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies.

  • Perform root-cause analysis and contribute solutions that prevent recurring production issues.

  • Collaborate with HRIS, business, vendor, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective Workday solutions.

  • Participate in technical design discussions, peer reviews, testing, and knowledge sharing.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, support procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.

  • Stay current with Workday releases, integration enhancements, reporting capabilities, and emerging development technologies.

  • Build familiarity with Workday Extend as opportunities arise.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 2–4 years of HRIS or Workday technical experience.

  • Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, or troubleshooting Workday integrations.

  • Working knowledge of Workday integration technologies including:

    • Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)

    • Workday Web Services

    • APIs

    • Cloud Connect

    • Workday Studio

  • Experience with Workday Reporting and Calculated Fields.

  • Working knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, REST APIs, and SOAP Web Services.

  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, deployment, source-control, and change-management practices.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

  • Ability to investigate integration failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail when working with integrations and sensitive HR data.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Human Resources Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Studio and Cloud Connect.

  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting business-critical Workday integrations.

  • Understanding of Workday Security concepts.

  • Experience collaborating with HRIS functional teams and business stakeholders.

  • Workday certification or training in Integrations, Reporting, Studio, or related technologies.

  • Exposure to or experience with Workday Extend.

  • Workday Extend training or certification.

  • Integration, cloud, software development, or related technical certifications.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has established hands-on Workday technical experience but is still interested in expanding their capabilities across the platform.

You should be comfortable supporting integrations and reporting in production, troubleshooting failures, working with EIB and Web Services, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Experience with Workday Studio and Cloud Connect is particularly valuable, while Workday Extend experience is considered a plus rather than a requirement.
